Patient experience spotlight: Pharmacies

This report focuses on residents' experiences of pharmacies in the London Boroughs of Bromley, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow, Lewisham and Waltham Forest between October and December 2020.

This Patient Experience Report for Healthwatch covers pharmacies in six London boroughs for the period October-December 2020.

Key findings

  • PPE and cleanliness - not wearing adequate masks and gloves or unclean surfaces.
  • Profiteering - taking advantage of hand sanitiser and mask supply shortages
  • Deliveries - self-isolating patients appreciating home deliveries
  • Outbreaks - no raising of awareness when there has been an outbreak among staff / customers.
