Carleen has enjoyed many roles across the health and social care sector in the UK and in Low-and-Middle-Income Countries, working with people from widely diverse communities. She is extremely passionate about health promotion and strengthening communities so seldom heard voices are listened to in the health sector. She looks forward to working with health and social care services from the Lewisham borough and supporting the voices of the residents in the health services we use.

Jariato has a background in Biomedical Science and experience in customer service, community engagement and health advocacy. She has volunteered in pharmacies, hospitals and food banks, gaining experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds. She began her journey at YVHSC as an intern, where she gained experience in administrative support and website design, developing skills in communication, organisation and digital engagement.
Jariato has also worked in an outreach role with Healthwatch Tower Hamlets, where she supported the recruitment of volunteers, university students. She is passionate about reducing health inequalities, strengthening community involvement and supporting the delivery of more inclusive and accessible health and social care services.

Francis joined the Healthwatch team as a volunteer and has supported the organisation’s work across a range of areas. His journey with Healthwatch has been a rewarding one, providing opportunities for both personal growth and the development of valuable skills in community engagement. He is currently providing temporary support for the Patient Experience Programme, helping to ensure that the voices of patients across the borough are heard and used to support positive change.

Rosie is a former ward sister and comes to advocacy having assisted a close relative with an NHS complaint.
In her spare time, Rosie enjoys walking her dogs, running, reading and visiting historical sites. She also sits on a Board who are responsible for running a block of flats.

Arlette is one of our qualified Independent Health Complaints Advocate. She joined Healthwatch Lewisham in 2017. Arlette is passionate about reducing social injustices and promoting women's empowerment. In her spare time, Arlette likes to read, watch movies, and spend quality time with her family.
