Healthwatch Lewisham is the local health and social care champion. Through our visits to Mental Health services across Lewisham, we listen to patients’ experiences to understand what is working well and what could be improved. This enables us to raise issues with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and decision-makers who have the authority to make meaningful changes.
We produce this report quarterly to provide a snapshot of patient experiences within each Mental Health Centre and to share recommendations for service improvement. This edition focuses on the experiences of 46 patients regarding the support they received from their Mental Health Centres, as well as from their GPs and local hospitals in relation to their mental health needs.
