Each quarter, we publish the experiences of patients that we have accumulated. This helps us to see trends in care compared to previous months.
During this quarter, we spoke to about 1048 residents in our borough at Hospitals, GP services, pharmacies, healthcare facilities and community settings.
Compared to Quarter 3, Lewisham residents reported an overall improvement in their experiences with GP and hospital services. Dental and pharmacy services continued to receive consistently positive feedback, particularly highlighting effective communication between providers and patients.
GP Services
While improvements were noted, residents continued to face challenges in booking appointments and reaching someone by phone. Additionally, 92% of reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with waiting times, citing issues with punctuality and queuing upon arrival.
Hospital Services
Feedback on staff attitude remained strong, with 77% of residents describing their experiences with doctors and nurses as positive, noting their caring and compassionate approach. However, 65% of reviews that mentioned appointment scheduling or waiting lists were negative, indicating ongoing concerns in this area.
Pharmacy Services
Pharmacy services were generally well-received. Residents appreciated clear communication and the timely availability of medications, reflecting a high level of satisfaction.
